Starting things off with a shot…the NMCA opener at Moroso Motorsports Park saw a pretty good chunk of the major players sporting our latest and greatest hardware.

Tony Christian debuted his ’57 Chevy using a pair of our big bore Nitrous Pro-IV carbs and qualified number one using a very conservative tune-up.

The first round Christians ride started to show its stuff as the shoebox scored a 205.76 mph pass in the heat of the day.

Nick Scavo took home the biggest trophy in Super Street driving his beautiful Silver camaro to the winners circle. Nick uses our Nitrous Pro-IV carb, which is quite similar in design to what Tony set the NMCA mph record with last year in his Firebird. Good job Nick.

In EZ street, Dustin White once again showed who was the boss on the backhalf of the track as he upped the mph ante to 158.61…hang on Dustin…that car has got to be a handful at those speeds.

In Factory Street, Howard Spires scooped up the honors. His carburetor design was a bit of a challenge. Howard is a very talented engine builder and he has some concepts that really work. If you get a chance check out his engine bay…the carburetor we built for him has some crazy stuff going on in it…when you see his engine bay you’ll know why. Great job Howard…you’re a terror out there.

In Real Street, Dan Paolini was thee force to be reckoned with..not only winning the race he also reset both ends of the record moving the Real Street numbers to an amazing 9.158 and 150.15 mph. The bad news…Dan just sent his carb in for updating..there may be more left in his program…we’ll see how this one turns out…Good Luck Dan.

In IHRA, Tommy Mauney was doing some testing for us on an updated version of our Pro-Mod Splits. Applying concepts developed over the last year, Tommy was testing the Wednesday before the nationals…with “Out of the Box” jetting his first pass down the track in his now less than aerodynamic Willys surpassed the current IHRA World Record.

At the event, Tommy and I spoke between rounds and we made some minor bleed and jetting changes and in both qualifying and on raceday Tommy was the fastest car at the racetrack. Scoring many passes well over 220 mph.

Great job Tommy..now get those electrical gremlins out of the car so that final stage works properly and lets get that Championship.

Thanks for the E mails everyone and thanks for stopping in.
